Jim Hellmer
Vice President Engineering
As Engineering Manager, Jim Hellmer oversees our CAM department as well as technical support
for customers, sales, and production at Advanced Circuits. He is also responsible for the
relationships with our partner manufacturing facilities and manages the customer action
department. He finds the PCB industry particularly interesting and challenging because almost
every industrial discipline is represented in the board manufacturing process.
Hellmer has spent his entire professional career applying his knowledge as an engineer to
manufacturing. His extensive experience began with Adastra Manufacturing, a customer of
Advanced Circuits. He also worked as a design consultant, where he was a vendor for the
company before coming on board in 1995. Hellmer has the distinction of being the only person
who has been a customer, a vendor, and an employee of Advanced Circuits.
Hellmer is a member of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) and the IPC Design
Council. He graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
He enjoys the wide variety of outdoor activities Colorado offers and spends many of his
weekends skiing, camping, and bicycling with his family.
